Love

Letting Out Vulnerabilities Exclusively

Preface: The Heart of Love

Love is where this journey begins.

Before there was a journal, a chapter, a vision, or even the name Ladies In Synch Always, there was love — the kind that holds families together, the kind that survives disappointment, the kind that requires us to be honest about our hearts.

My daughter, Kijuana Mitchell, helped me see that love is not always loud. Sometimes it is the daughter who checks on everyone. Sometimes it is the sister who wants the family to stay connected. Sometimes it is the mother raising her children while still making room in her heart for everyone else. Love can be vulnerable, exhausting, forgiving, protective, and powerful — all at the same time.

This journal begins with LOVE because every relationship we will ever have asks something of our hearts. Our relationships with our children, parents, siblings, friends, partners, and even ourselves require us to decide whether we will keep showing up with honesty and care.

It is the courage to admit what hurts, what we need, what we fear, and what we still hope for. It is loving without keeping score. It is learning how to stay soft without losing yourself.

As you begin these pages, I invite you to reflect on the love you have given, the love you have needed, and the love that is still healing inside of you. May you find the courage to love truthfully, receive love freely, and build connections that honor your heart.

With love,
Stacey B. Robinson
