About L.I.S.A.
Ladies In Synch Always began with a simple conversation, a few good ideas, and a whole lot of love.
Our Story
Around 2008, I was sitting in the living room with my daughters, talking about books, book clubs, and ways to have fun together. We thought about joining an existing group, but nothing felt quite right. Then my youngest daughter, DiNiece, said, “Mama, let’s make our own group. We can pick books, have potlucks, play games, and do trivia—because you’re great at games and trivia.”
That one conversation planted the seed.
We began as Ladies Connecting, a book club where we gathered to select books, enjoy good food, laugh, and make memories. Over time, our vision grew beyond the pages of a book. We began connecting with our community, participating in events, and creating meaningful experiences together. One of our first community efforts was walking with the American Heart Association—a tradition of service and support that continues today.
As the years have passed, L.I.S.A. has grown into a sisterhood filled with love, laughter, encouragement, and genuine connection. We host community events, joyful gatherings, Ladies Let’s Talk conversations, trivia, game nights, outings to comedy shows, and so much more.
But at the heart of it all, we are ladies who show up for one another. We laugh together, love one another, hug on each other, and offer support through life’s beautiful moments and its hardest seasons.
For me, this is one of the greatest joys of my life: being able to share space, purpose, and friendship with such beautiful ladies.

Why L.I.S.A.
I believe in my heart that acronyms are important because they allow us to take a deeper dive into the meaning of a word.
Growing up, my sister, Alecia “Lisa” Robinson-Dickerson, was wonderful to me. I watched the way she loved her friends—the way they laughed together, grew together, and truly cared for one another. Even as a little girl, I admired that. I remember thinking, I want my sister to be my friend. At that age, it felt funny to even imagine, but as the years passed, I realized I was also longing for the kind of beautiful, lasting friendships she had.
After my sister passed away from cancer on September 2, 2025, I was sitting at my desk reflecting on the vision I was already building: Ladies In Synch Always. Then it came to me—L.I.S.A.
Ladies In Synch Always.
I said to myself: I will always be about ladies coming together. I will always believe in friendship. I will always create spaces where ladies can laugh, heal, grow, and shine through genuine connection.
Her name fit perfectly into something that was already growing in my heart. L.I.S.A. is not just an organization or an acronym. It is a tribute to my sister, the friendships she cherished, and the example of love she gave me throughout my life.
This is for my sister—Alecia “Lisa” Robinson-Dickerson.
I love you always, Lisa. Your name, your spirit, and your beautiful example of friendship will continue to shine through every lady we inspire.

Together, we have experienced the good, the bad, the ugly, the pretty, the sad, the mad, the bitter, and the sweet throughout this amazing Ladies In Synch Always journey. Every moment has helped shape us. Every challenge has taught us something. Every laugh, idea, gathering, and conversation has added to the creativity, growth, and development we have shared together.
I would not change a single part of what we have learned, created, or conquered as a sisterhood. These ladies bring heart, strength, laughter, honesty, and purpose to this journey—and I am forever grateful for each of them.
