Preface: Stillness Speaks, Too

FAITH means Focus Attention Inside The Heart.

Faith is not always loud. Sometimes faith is found in the pause before an answer. It is found in the quiet moment when we allow ourselves to listen to God, examine our hearts, and gather the wisdom we need before moving forward.

My granddaughter, Khalijah Robinson, shows me this beautifully. She may be quiet at times, but her quietness has purpose. She is not empty in those moments—she is paying attention. She is processing. She is listening. She is allowing her heart to lead before her words ever leave her mouth.

And when she speaks, her words are bold, honest, grounded, and beautiful.

This journal is for the lady who needs permission to be still. It is for the lady who is learning that she does not have to rush every answer, react to every situation, or speak before her heart is ready. Stillness can be strength. Reflection can be wisdom. A heart-centered response can change an entire conversation.

As you move through these pages, allow yourself to slow down. Focus your attention inside your heart. Ask what you truly feel, what you truly need, and what God may be teaching you before you respond.

May you speak with faith, live with purpose, and keep your heart at the center of every word, decision, and conclusion.
